Commercial Tree Planting & Restock Planting
Practical forest establishment across Inverness, the Highlands, Moray and the wider north of Scotland.
Commercial planting capability
Planting is one of Buka Forestry's core operations, backed by approximately 4 million trees of practical commercial planting experience.
We undertake restock and new planting across mounded, scarified, unprepared and flat sites, including mixed-species planting and both cell-grown and bare-root trees.
Work is carried out to the specified stocking density, species mix, boundaries and planting requirements. Our experience includes open sites without obvious reference points such as existing crop lines or regular ground preparation. On these sites, the team works systematically to establish and maintain the required planting pattern and spacing.
Planting quality
Planting quality is checked during delivery, including planting depth, root position, firmness, planting position, spacing, tree condition, stocking and species boundaries.
Site logistics and distribution
Tree distribution is planned around site access, terrain and the planting specification. ATV support is used where appropriate to move planting stock and materials efficiently while keeping the operation practical for the ground conditions.
After planting
Buka Forestry also undertakes beat-up, tree protection, vegetation management, pesticide and repellent application, and fertiliser application where these form part of the wider establishment or maintenance schedule.

Built for commercial forestry sites.
Buka Forestry focuses on practical delivery: correct stocking, species placement, planting quality, site communication and reliable progress across demanding forestry ground.
