Health & Safety
Health and safety starts with understanding the site and the operation.
Before work begins, the client's risk assessment and relevant COSHH information are reviewed against the conditions actually found on site. Site-specific hazards and controls are communicated to the team and remain under review as work progresses, including risks to staff, clients and members of the public where relevant.
Daily briefings take account of the operation being carried out, known hazards and observations from the site.
Training & Competence
Training and competence are recorded and monitored within the business. Qualifications represented across the team include:
First Aid + Forestry · PA1 · PA6 · PA6PP · PA6INJ · Chainsaw up to 380mm · Brushcutter · ATV · ARGO
Relevant training evidence can be provided as part of client contractor-approval and tender requirements.
Equipment & Operational Checks
Safety-critical equipment and supplies are routinely checked and recorded, including first aid kits, spill kits, chemical containers and dates, safety helmet dates and other relevant operational equipment.
Spill kits are carried in company vehicles. Chemicals are transported and stored using approved chemical boxes.
Environmental & Chemical Controls
Environmental requirements are considered alongside health and safety when sites and operations are assessed. For pesticide operations, the client's risk assessment and COSHH information are compared with the products, site conditions and work actually being undertaken.
Quality & Workmanship
Quality is checked while work is in progress and against the requirements of the site specification. Where an issue requires client input, it is communicated to the Forest Works Manager with the relevant site information.

Our procedures and working information are intended to be understood and used, not simply filed.
Site briefings, quality requirements and operational controls are communicated in a practical format so staff understand what is expected of them and what to do when conditions change.
